Astronomers have caught radio signals which may have come from an
advanced civilization or a black hole, the Telegraph and RT Arabic report.
Since 2007, seven fast radio bursts have been picked up by scientists.
But these days, scientists could observe the phenomenon happening live for the
first time.
The Telegraph informs that possibilities debated by scientists range
from an evaporating black hole to alien advanced communication.
In order to observe the phenomenon, scientists have been relying on 12
telescopes stationed in Australia, California,
the Canary Islands, Chile, Germany, Hawaii, and India, according to the
Telegraph.
Emily Petroff, Phd candidate from Swinburne University
of Technology, in Melbourne, Australia, said that the signals, coming from
outside of our galaxy, were discovered, weeks, months, or even decades after
they happened.
